SILICONE RESIN
Silicone sealant is a liquid form of adhesive. Typically, it looks, feels, and acts like a gel. It has a different chemical make-up from other organic polymer-based adhesives. Unlike other adhesives, silicone keeps its elasticity and stability in both high and low temperatures. Furthermore, silicone sealant is resistant to other chemicals, moisture, and weathering. This makes it less likely to fail when building and repairing objects.
Unlike some adhesives, silicone sealants must cure. Curing silicone basically means letting it dry. Curing silicone isn’t necessarily difficult, but it does require patience. The temperature needs to be between 40°F and 100°F, and there needs to be between 5% and 95% humidity for silicone to cure. It can take as little as 24 hours to cure, or it can take up to several days if the sealant is especially thick.
ONE PART THERMAL CONDUCTIVE SILICONE
Thermally conductive silicone encapsulants can be used in potting applications to dissipate heat away from a component to a suitable heat sink. They also provide protection from harsh environments, vibration and thermal shock. Addition cure silicones provide deep section cure allowing for complete encapsulation for environmental protection whilst maintaining an effective heat path.
With the continued miniaturization and expanding population of components that comprise electronic devices, mitigation of generated heat is an ongoing issue today. To achieve operational stability and longevity, thermally conductive materials are often incorporated within the device to aid in heat dissipation. With the addition of specialty fillers, silicone formulations can be customized to facilitate the flow of heat to or from electronic components in an assembly.

TWO PART THERMAL CONDUCTIVE SILICONE
2-component, thermally conductive potting material. Its low viscosity allows the material to conform to intricate shapes of thermal interfaces and contributes to the reduction of contact interference in complex designs. TIA216G quickly cures to a soft rubber gel with exposure to heat and retains tacky adhesion on its cured surface.
